Plans have been unveiled for a £40 million golf and tourist resort for Alyth in Perthshire.
The proposals include redesigning the town's Glenisla golf course, as well as building a 40 bed hotel, retirement home and 200 houses.
It will bring between 50 and 70 new jobs to the area, as well as create employment during the construction phase.
It is hoped the facility will attract more visitors to the area.
Residents will now be consulted on the plans.
With the current recession biting, the developers believe the investment will give Alyth a much needed boost.
