Police arrest man and woman after £250,000 drug seizure from house

Drugs with a street value of around £250,000 have been seized after a drug raid, police said.

Officers from Strathclyde Police searched the house in Airdrie's Roughrigg Road at 7.45am on Friday.

The search uncovered a haul containing cocaine and cannabis.

A 49-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were arrested following the raid.

They are both in police custody, and are expected to appear in court on Monday.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
