The local election campaigns are well under way but so far, there's little evidence that any of the Scottish contests have fired the imagination of voters.
In sharp contrast, the personality-dominated battle to be London Mayor has commanded a huge amount of attention, with no shortage of controversy and debate.
Scotland Tonigght discussed the issue with political commentator David Torrance - who came on just after attending a mayoral election hustings meeting - with Ross Martin from the independent thinktank the Centre for Scottish Public Policy.
