Alcohol ban leads to fall in anti-social behaviour

A community in Fife has seen anti-social behaviour plummet by almost 60% following a ban on alcohol sales to under 21s. A number of off licences agreed to restrict sales on a Friday and Saturday night  in Cupar.

It comes following the success of a similar scheme run earlier this year in West Lothian. The government is already proposing a national ban on the sale of alcohol to under 21s from off licenses in a bid to curb alcohol fuelled trouble.
