Police divers have launched a search for a body seen in Inverness harbour.
Northern Constabulary said that Grampian Police Underwater Search Team has been deployed to the harbour.
The search began at around 7am on Saturday.
A police spokesman said: "Following reports of a body being seen in the River Ness at Inverness harbour, police continue to search a defined area where the remains are thought to have drifted.
"Grampian Police Underwater Search Team have been deployed and police activity will continue in the area until the search is completed.
"No further details of the remains are being released at this stage."
