The search for a man seen plunging into water in Inverness has been called off.
The man was spotted going into the water from the city's Ness Bridge on Wednesday, February 22 at around 2.40pm.
The incident prompted a large-scale search involving police, a lifeboat and a rescue helicopter.
The coastguard was stood down after the initial day of searching but police spent another two days looking for the man.
The initial search concentrated on the harbour area and mouth of River Ness before extending out into the Beauly Firth.
A Northern Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed on Monday that no body had been found, and that the search had been stood down.
She said police "continue to maintain contact with the next of kin of a family possibly involved".
