An elderly female driver has been interviewed by police in the Western Isles after a suspected hit-and-run incident.
A 59-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a vehicle on the A858, Carloway to Callinish Road, at Kirivick, on the Isle of Lewis.
The incident took place at around 7pm on Friday.
Stornoway Police confirmed a female motorist had come forward after the force issued an appeal through the media.
The male pedestrian is said to be recovering following surgery at Western Isles Hospital on Stornoway.
