Police in Perth and Kinross are probing a series of bogus calls from someone pretending to be a police officer.
Several members of the public have received a telephone call from a person imitating a police officer.
The caller claims to be from Tayside Police and to be collecting payment for the placement of an advertisement in a police magazine.
A spokesperson for Tayside Police said its staff was not connected with the calls.
Officers warned the public to treat calls like these with suspicion and not to part with any money.
Officers have launched an investigation into the calls and are asking anyone who might have received such a call to contact them.
