A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Poland in connection with the murder of Maciej Ciania.
Mr Ciania, who was 34, was found dead at his flat in Dickson Street in Leith in January.
His family have previously described their “devastation” at his death.
His sister Aleksandra, 42, said: "Our whole family is devastated by Maciej's death, and we cannot imagine our life without him.
“My parents have lost a much-loved son, and I have lost not only a sibling but a friend.
"Maciej loved living in Edinburgh and was a popular person with many friends. He will be sorely missed.”
The 25-year-old man, who is being held under a European Arrest Warrant, will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
