The family of a man who died in an accident in the Borders have paid tribute to their "special son".
Graham Milroy, from Galashiels, was driving on the A7 near his hometown at around 5.20pm on Wednesday when the collision happened.
Mr Milroy’s Citroen Saxo and a black Skoda crashed into each other.
The 24-year-old was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
On Friday, his family released a statement through Lothian and Borders Police.
They said: "Graham would have been 25 years old in March and was a much loved caring son and brother.
"He loved music and working out daily and was a dedicated worker. He had applied to three universities this year and had long term plans to join the army and was looking forward to the future.
"We will miss our special son dearly."
Officers are still investigating the accident and appealing for other drivers who were on the road at the time to come forward.
Anyone with any information can contact police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
