A man who died after being hit by a car in Edinburgh has been named.
John Stewart Carrigan was hit by a blue Toyota MR2 on Corstorphine High Street at around 6.20pm on Tuesday.
The 54-year-old suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Western General Hospital for treatment.
He died the next day from his injuries.
Lothian and Borders Police are still investigating the crash and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
