A section of fencing next to a railway line has been damaged in a suspicious fire.
Crews were called to Chapelton Drive in Polbeth, West Lothian just after 1pm on Friday.
A section of walkway coated in plastic in an underpass below the tracks was set on fire. Firefighters managed to put out the flames in around an hour.
About 80ft of fencing next to the tracks has been damaged and the British Transport Police and Network Rail were alerted to the fire.
Trains travelling from Edinburgh to Glasgow Central go along the railway line but no services were affected by the fire.
A fire investigation has been launched into the blaze. It is understood early indications show it was started deliberately.
