Two young men have appeared in court after a man had part of his ear bitten off at a fast-food restaurant.
The 28-year-old victim required surgery after the assault in KFC in Glasgow's Renfield Street around 11pm last Friday.
Police said the victim and his friend were confronted by three men and a woman in the queue at the city centre venue.
They decided to leave the shop without getting anything to eat but as they headed towards the door, the man was allegedly attacked by two of the men in the group.
James Leat, 20, from Glasgow, was charged with assault with severe injury and permanent disfigurement and impairment. He was also charged with possession of a controlled drug.
Scott Simmonds, 19, of Glasgow, was also charged with assault with severe injury and permanent disfigurement and impairment.
Both were released on bail until their next court appearance.
