Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a Hawick man.
Officers were called to an address in the town's Hillend Drive on Sunday afternoon to assist ambulance paramedics who were treating 37-year-old Ryan Rees.
The father of two was experiencing medical difficulties and was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital.
He died later that evening.
An investigation subsequently took place into the cause of Mr Rees' death.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal."
