A young man had to be cut free from a vehicle after a collision involving two cars in the Borders.
Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the crash on the A7 near Galashiels at around 5.20pm today.
A spokeswoman said hydraulic cutting equipment was used to free the man, who is believed to be about 20 years old.
He and another man were taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital.
The extent of their injuries is not known
