A lifeline rural bus service for the elderly and disabled in Moray is facing the axe because of council budget cuts.
The BABS shuttles which connect Keith, Buckie and Elgin and the surrounding the towns could have funding cut by more than half.
The service, set up more than 12 years ago, is staffed largely by volunteers.
The vital service needs at least £30,000 to keep going but Moray Council are only prepared to meet half that amount.
Moray councillors will be asked tomorrow to approve a £15,000 grant on Thursday.
However users fear that may not be enough to keep the service on the road.
