A train passenger dubbed the "Big Man" after removing an alleged fair dodger will not face criminal proceedings.
Alan Pollock, 35, had been charged with assault by police after the incident that was caught on camera and became an internet hit.
The footage, taken by a member of the public on the Edinburgh Waverley to Perth service in December 2011, resulted in a criminal investigation into Mr Pollock.
On Wednesday, the Crown confirmed that the 35-year-old from Stirling would not be facing further criminal proceedings after the incident on the ScotRail train at Linlithgow station.
Mr Pollock had removed student Sam Main, 19, from the train after he began to shout and swear at a ticket collector at around 9.30pm on Friday, December 9.
Mr Main, from Falkirk, had been reported to the fiscal over the incident but proceedings will not take place against either man and the case has been closed by the Crown.
The clip of the incident has been viewed over two million times on the viral sharing website.
