A Celtic football fan was stabbed at a stadium during the Scottish Cup tie on Saturday.
The 23-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after the incident at the city's Caledonian Thistle FC's stadium.
The man, from Glasgow, was attacked during the half-time interval of the Scottish Cup match between Celtic and Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.
He was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he received stitches for a stab wound.
A Northern Constabulary spokesman confirmed that officers are investigating the incident and were currently looking at CCTV footage.
He said that no arrest had yet been made.
A spokesman for Inverness Caledonian Thistle said the club did not wish to comment, adding: "We are happy to leave this incident in the hands of the police."
