A man is expected to appear in court in Hamilton following the death of an elderly woman.
Kathleen Milward, 87, was found dead in her home in Brodie Place, Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire, at about 8.30pm on January 3.
Police taped off the semi-detached cottage and garden as they investigated the scene.
Mrs Wishaw had lived in Brodie Place since 2001 and originally came from Wishaw.
Strathclyde Police said a 40-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection with Mrs Milward's death.
He is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
