A man has had part of his ear bitten off following a "particulalrly violent" attack in Glasgow.
The 28-year-old was waiting in line at the KFC fast food outlet in Renfield Street when he was confronted by three men and a woman.
He decided to leave the shop without getting any food, but was attacked by two of the men before he reached the door.
During the attack, the top part of one of his ears was bitten off.
The injured man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. It is understood he will need surgery.
The two men responsible for the attack were last seen in Bath Lane.
The first suspect is described as being white, around 18 years old, with dark hair and a slim build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with yellow writing on the front and back.
The second suspect is described as being white, around 18-20 years old, and of a slim build. He has the name "Scott" tattooed on the right side of his neck.
The attack happened at around 11pm on Friday.
Detective Constable Kieron Frost of Strathclyde Police said: "This would appear to a totally unprovoked attack on the 28-year-old man who had only gone into the shop with his friend to purchase something to eat prior to returning home.
"It was a particularly violent attack which resulted in the victim losing the top half of his ear which will now require surgery."
