Protesters have been given another week to seek legal advice before they are evicted from an Edinburgh park.
Occupy Edinburgh pitched camp in the Meadows after voluntarily leaving St Andrew Square. Legal proceedings had been started to evict them from the city centre location.
On Friday the group were back at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Fiona Reid, solicitor for the City of Edinburgh Council, asked Sheriff Kathrine Mackie to grant an order to evict the camp from their new camp.
William Black, of Occupy Edinburgh, asked for extra time to allow the group to get legal advice. He said they had an appointment with a lawyer next week and were trying to find out if the council had the right to evict them from public land.
Mr Black also claimed the council had said the group could go to the Meadows if they left St Andrew Square. Ms Reid denied the local authority had ever said this.
Sheriff Mackie said: "It is difficult to resist the application for time to obtain legal advice about a matter which is not necessarily straight-forward. I think the best thing I can do is to continue this to next Friday; that will allow you time to get advice."
