A woman accused of murdering an eastern European man whose body was found at a farm has appeared in court.
Eliska Novotna is alleged to have stabbed 39-year-old Arunas Ramanauskas to death in the Borders last year.
The 22-year-old is charged with repeatedly stabbing Mr Ramanauskas on the body on October 7 or 8 at Easter Happrew Old Farm. She is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The body of Mr Ramanauskas was found in a steading at the farm near Peebles on October 8.
Novotna denies the charges. She appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday for a brief preliminary hearing before judge Lord Bannatyne.
No trial date was fixed and the hearing is continued until March 2 to allow her legal team time to carry out further enquiries.
