A 64-year-old man who was reported missing has been taken to hospital after spending the night outdoors.
Thomas Tyrrell was reported missing after he failed to turn up to meet a friend at around 8.30pm on Thursday.
A search and rescue operation was launched when he failed to return to his home at Tong on the Isle of Lewis.
Coastguard teams, police teams and coastguard helicopter Rescue 100 were all involved in the overnight search.
Mr Tyrrell was found by searchers at around 9.45am on Friday and airlifted to the Western Isles Hospital by the coastguard.
A Northern Constabulary spokeswoman said: "He has been taken to hospital for the effects of the cold."
A Stornoway coastguard spokeswoman said: "The coastguard helicopter airlifted him to Western Isles Hospital where he was transferred to an awaiting ambulance and taken to hospital."
