The wife of Rangers FC chairman Craig Whyte has taken him to court to secure a share of his assets after initiating divorce proceedings.
Kim Whyte’s petition against the owner of the Ibrox club called at the Court of Session in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
Her solicitors, Brechin Tindal Oatts, confirmed she was seeking an interim aliment, which is regular payment made to her as divorce proceedings begin.
A statement from the firm read: "We confirm that we have lodged a petition in the Court of Session seeking an award of interim aliment on behalf of Kim Whyte.
"This is a personal matter between husband and wife and our client asks that the media respect that."
Mr Whyte, 40, and his wife are separated and live in different homes in Grantown-on-Spey, in the Highlands.
