Police return to place of missing man's last sighting one week on

David Paterson: The 52-year-old has been missing for a week.

Officers are returning to the place a missing man was last seen one week after he disappeared.

David Paterson was last seen in the Bankside Industrial Estate in Bainsford, Falkirk at 9.05am on Monday April 7.

CCTV images show the 52-year-old in the area carrying a red bag with blue straps.

He has not made contact with friends of family since last Monday and has not been seen.

Officers will visit the area to speak to local residents and members of the public who are often in the area in the hope they will be able to tract Mr Paterson.

Inspector Chris Stewart said: "It is now one week since David was last seen and we still have not established his current whereabouts.

"We will be out and about in the area he was last seen to speak with anyone who may have been there last week and remembers seeing him.

"I would ask anyone who may have information that can assist with this missing person investigation to come forward and speak to us.

"Similarly, we continue to urge David to get in touch with a friend, loved one, or with police to let us know you are alright."

Mr Paterson is described as white, 5ft 3in tall, with short dark grey hair, blue eyes, big eyebrows and a dimple on his chin. He has grey stubble, had not shaven for several days and has broad shoulders with a slim frame.

When last seen was wearing a blue fleece, dark denim jeans and lace up light leather tan shoes. He may be wearing a gold wedding band and a fine silver chain with big links.
