The body of a man has been discovered in a harbour as police continue to search for a missing teenager.
Lothian and Borders Police confirmed that the body was found in Eyemouth in the Borders on Sunday.
Jamie Battison, 19, was with a group of friends at the Ship pub in Eyemouth until 11.30pm on Saturday August 6. It is believed that he was spotted on CCTV outside the pub just after midnight.
The Edinburgh student did not return home after the night out and has not been seen or heard from since.
Officers had been carrying out searches in the Eyemouth and Coldingham areas after Mr Battison was reported missing on Sunday, August 7.
Mr Battison is a student at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and was about to enter his third year. A Facebook page has been set up to try and help coordinate the search.
When he was last seen he was wearing jeans, a red T-shirt, grey hooded cardigan with stars on the arms, a white beanie hat and black and white Nike skater shoes. Mr Battison has dark brown neck-length hair and blue eyes. He is around 6ft tall, has a stocky build and stubbly complexion.
The teenager's family have been made fully aware of the circumstances of the discovery, officers said.
