Emergency services are trying to rescue two climbers who have been injured in a fall on Ben Nevis.

Northern Constabulary are currently co-ordinating the rescue operation after one of the men involved in the fall on Tower Ridge phoned from the mountainside.

The call was received at around 1.15pm on Tuesday and members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were alerted.

The RAF rescue helicopter has also been dispatched and is in the process of trying to remove the men from the hill.

Both men, believed to be experienced climbers, are injured, but the extent of their injuries are not yet known.
