A charity shop in Edinburgh has been badly damaged in a suspicious fire, police said.
A nearby resident and a child were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following the blaze at the Bethany shop in Summerhall Place at about 10pm on Saturday.
The shop raises money for homeless people.
A police spokesman said: "Inquiries carried out by Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service indicated this fire had been started deliberately and we are now investigating to find those responsible.
"Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in or around the area around 10pm on Saturday night is asked to contact police immediately."
