John Brennan: Victim was found murdered at home
A murder inquiry has been launched after a man suffered a "violent attack" in his home in Glasgow.
John Brennan, 35, was found dead at his Cockenzie Street flat, in the Shettleston area on Thursday at 12.10pm.
Following a post-mortem examination Mr Brennan's death is being treated as murder.
A Strathclyde Police spokeswoman said: "Following a post-mortem examination, the death is now being treated as murder and a murder inquiry has been launched.
"Information can be passed to Shettleston CID on telephone number 0141 532 4814 or alternatively Crimestoppers be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Officers have been speaking to local residents and checking CCTV footage as part of the murder inquiry.
