A 33-year-old man had died following a road crash near Lugton on Thursday September 2.
At around 3.20pm, police were called to a report of a man seriously injured after the Suzuki motorbike he was riding appears to have lost control and left the road on the A736 near Lugton.
The injured man was taken by air ambulance to the Southern General Hospital but died shortly after admission.
Officers from the road policing department in Ayr are appealing for any witnesses to the crash.
Police have named the man as 33-year-old Craig Campbell of Saltcoats.
