A 23-year-old man has died in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after being struck by a lorry.
The road accident occurred shortly after 1pm on Saturday afternoon on the southbound carriageway of the city's Forfar Road.
Emergency services took the victim, later named as Liam Connelly from the Fintry area of Dundee, to the city's hospital but he was pronounced dead just a few hours later.
Police have put road diversions in place while the incident is investigated.
