Partner of missing man appeals for 54-year-old to 'come home'

Missing: Andrew Finlayson was last seen at home on Monday.

The partner of a missing man has appealed for him to "come home".

Andrew Finlayson was last seen at his home in Oban, Argyll, at 10.30am on Monday.

An extensive police search of the area has been carried out since the 54-year-old was left the home he shares with his partner Morven MacAuely in the town’s Columba Court.

Ms MacAuley appealed for her partner to get in touch. She said: "Please Andrew come home, we can sort through anything. I love you, just come home."

Chief Inspector Brian Auld, local area commander, added: "We know he has not been in contact with his partner or friends, and nobody has been able to contact him, I am therefore concerned for his well-being.

"There are some personal issues that he has been dealing with recently, which may have relevance to him not being in touch with his family. I would ask Andrew to give police or his family a call just to let us know he is well."

Mr Finlayson is 5ft 4in, of medium build, with short, grey hair, blue eyes and is clean shaven. He was wearing blue denim jeans, a green army jumper, boots and a light-blue waterproof jacket.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts are asked contact Oban Police Office on 01631 510500.
