A warrant for the arrest of Celtic star Morten Rasmussen had has been issued over a speeding charge.
Rasmussen was expected to appear at Glasgow District Court at 9.30am on Thursday. But when he failed to turn up JP Louisa Ross agreed to issue a warrant.
She was told by depute fiscal Marie-Claire Anderson: "The accused does not reside at the address we have and his present whereabouts are unknown."
Rasmussen is charged with driving at 43mph in a 30 mph area in Glasgow's London Road in his Audi - close to the club's stadium - on April 15 this year.
The Danish striker was signed by former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray in January this year for £1.8m.The striker, who has been capped three times by his country played for AGF and Brondby in his home country before moving to the UK.
He was on the bench during Wednesday's match against SC Braga which ended Celtic's Champions League hopes. However, Rasmussen did not play in the tie at Celtic Park, which Celtic won 2-1, but lost 2-4 on aggregate.
