17-year-old girl dies in hospital after car careers off road

A teenage girl has died from injuries sustained after the car she was travelling in careered off the road.

Natasha Clark suffered chest injuries in the smash in Argyll and died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Tuesday night.

The 17-year-old from Tarbert was a passenger in a Honda Civic that left the A83 on Monday night close to Tarbert, near Campbeltown.

The 34-year-old man who was driving the car suffered a serious neck injury and received treatment at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

A 33-year-old woman, who was also in the car, sustained serious neck and leg injuries, for which she received treatment in Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital.

Police said the smash occurred on the A83 close to the B8024 turn off at around 8.25pm. As a result of the collision, the road was closed for several hours.
