A lorry driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle left the road and crashed into a field.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Scotlandwell, near Kinross, on the B920 at around 10.20am on Tuesday.

The driver was initially trapped in the overturned vehicle and firefighters freed him shortly before 11am.

It was understood that his injuries were not serious and he was taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.

Tayside Police also went to the incident and diverted traffic around the crash.
