Ian Davidson has again been elected to represent Glasgow South West. He has held the seat for Labour in several incarnations since 1992. In its various permutations, the area has been staunchly Labour since 1974.
Mr Davidson won with 19,863 votes - 62% of the votes. He now enjoys a majority of 46.2%, up about 2% from 2005.
54.6% of the electorate cast their vote, up almost 5% from the 2005 turnout.
Chris Stephens of the SNP was second.

First used in the 2005 General Election, Glasgow South West includes most of the former Glasgow Pollok and part of the Glasgow Govan constituencies. The constituency encompasses Pollok, Govan, Mosspark and Ibrox.
