Scots flying on British Airways London have been hit by a third day of flight cancellations as a result of the BA cabin crew strike.
The three-day walk-out by members of the Unite union, which began on Saturday morning, centres on moves by BA to cut the number of cabin crew working on its long-haul routes and to change pay and conditions for new members of staff.
Seven flights from Glasgow to Heathrow have been cancelled, five have been cancelled from Aberdeen and a further six have been cancelled from Edinburgh
BA said 97.6% of its Gatwick crew and 52% of Heathrow crew reported to work as normal over the weekend. BA said it reinstated a number of cancelled flights this weekend after maintaining that more crew than expected had turned up for work.
The union claimed that more than 140 BA aircraft were standing idle at Heathrow, the airport worst affected by the dispute. It says fewer than 300 crew had volunteered to stand in for strikers, accusing the airline of counting inbound crew to inflate the numbers of staff on duty.
Airports are advising BA passengers to check with the airline for the latest flight information.
The strike had originally been planned to take place over Christmas, but it was postponed after a legal challenge by BA meant a new strike ballot had to be held.
A further four-day walk-out due to take place from March 27.
