A man and a woman have been seriously assaulted by a gang of youths in the Govan area of Glasgow.
The two were attacked shortly after midnight on Sunday in Rigmuir Road. They were both taken by ambulance to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where they were both being treated for facial injuries.
Police believe that around six youths were involved in the incident. One of the men thought to have attacked the 19-year-old man and 27-year-old woman was in his late teens to early 20s, around 6ft tall, well built with red hair and wearing a dark baseball cap.
Detective Sergeant Greig Wilkie, of Helen Street Police Office, said officers were studying CCTV footage to try to find out more.
He added: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Rigmuir Road shortly before and after midnight and may have witnessed this incident take place, or have information that may assist police to contact us."
