The garage where Michael Lyons was shot and killed has been banned from carrying out MOT tests.
Applerow Motors in Balmore Road in Glasgow's Lambhill area can no longer do MOTs for the public after VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) cancelled its licence.
A statement from the agency said: "VOSA has withdrawn authorised examiner status from Applecross Motors. The premises are no longer an authorised MOT testing station and cannot conduct MOT tests.
"Since the shooting in 2006 VOSA has worked with Strathclyde Police to ensure that public safety is not at risk."
The garage is owned by Michael Lyons' uncle David, who was unavailable for comment, but an associate said David - who has no criminal convictions - has never been involved in any criminal activity.
Both men are related to the notorious Lyons family, whose war with the Daniel family has blighted the north of Glasgow for more than 20 years.
