Police are appealing for revellers to send them photographs taken at a Dundee nightclub last week as they step up their campaign to find a woman who has been missing for seven days.

Mary McLaren was last seen outside Dundee's Fat Sams nightclub in the early hours of Thursday February 27.

She was last seen in the company of a mystery man in the city's Marketgait East.  It is thought she met the man at Fat Sams.

Now police are urging clubbers to e-mail them pictures taken at the nightclub in a bid to identify the mystery man and provide them with further clues.

Detective Chief Inspector Shaun McKillop, the officer in charge of the enquiry said that the response from members of the public had been excellent.

"We spoke to hundreds of people in the area of Fat Sams last night and a number of individuals were able to provide us with very helpful information.

"Wednesday night is traditionally a student night in the Club with students from Dundee and the surrounding area attending.  Last night proved to be a great opportunity for us to speak to those who live outwith the city but who regularly attend Fat Sams on a Wednesday night.

"Students and other revellers have been sending in photographs they have taken on their mobile phones from within Fat Sams last Wednesday night and this has been extremely helpful.  I would appeal to anyone who took photographs last Wednesday night or the early hours of Thursday morning in the club to get in touch with us as they may help us identify the man seen with Mary on the night of her disappearance.

"He was seen walking with Mary in North Lindsay Street, Bell Street and Marketgait east.  He is described as being between 30 and 45 years old, around five feet seven inches tall, of slim build, with fair hair, and he had a moustache.  He was wearing a grey round neck T-shirt, a dark coloured jacket with white reflective piping on the back, and dark coloured trousers.

"If you recognise this man, or if you spoke to him in Fat Sams nightclub on the night of Wednesday 24 February or the early hours of Thursday 25 February we need to speak to you."

On Wednesday, Mary's sister told STV News in an emotional interview of the last time she saw Mary before she disappeared.

The force released CCTV images of Mary and the mystery man, shown above, in a bid to identify him and encourage members of the public to come forward with information.

Officers were out in force in Dundee City Centre last night, handing out fliers and talking to those who had been in Fat Sams nightclub last Wednesday night and indeed anyone who might assist the investigation. There have been no confirmed sightings of Mary since her disappearance over a week ago.

Mary is five feet two in height and has long brown hair, blue eyes and walks with a limp.  She was wearing a distinctive black and white patterned dress, black leggings, a white duffel coat and flat black shoes.  She was also carrying a black handbag and a pink inflatable toy.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said: "Anyone who has photographs taken from Fat Sams nightclub last Wednesday night should send them to mail@tayside.pnn.police.uk.  Please include your contact details in the e-mail.

"Anyone who has seen Mary since 2.30am on Thursday 25 February, or anyone who can identify the mystery man, should get in touch with Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222 or speak to any police officer."
