A man was taken to hospital and four others were injured in a two-car crash in Aberdeen on Friday.
A car mounted the central reservation on the A96 near the Tyrebagger at around 5.10pm
Fire fighters had to cut a driver free before he was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Four other people received minor injuries and the westbound carriageway was closed for two hours.
Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to call 0845 600 5700 or 0800 555 111.
