Helicopter: Missing child found asleep in bed
A police helicopter was launched to search for a six-year-old reported missing by her parents in Glasgow - when she was fast asleep in bed.
The child sparked a search operation throughout Glasgow when she was reported missing from her Castlemilk home.
But the search was called off an hour later when she was discovered safely asleep in her own bedroom.
Police were alerted to the apparently missing child at 9.30am on Monday morning, and deployed a search team and helicopter to help find her.
The team stood down at 10.30am when it emerged that she was still asleep.
A Strathclyde Police spokesman said the helicopter was already in the area and was on its way back from another operation.
