Campaigners who help male victims of domestic abuse will take their case to the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday.
Alison Waugh and Jackie Walls submitted a petition to the Scottish Parliament calling on the Scottish Government to ensure that domestic abuse campaigns also address the needs of men.
Last year's figures showed that about 14% of domestic abuse cases recorded by police were of a woman abusing a man.
Police forces across Scotland recorded 53,681 incidents of domestic abuse in 2008-09. Men were the victims in 7,336 cases.
The pair's petition attracted 331 signatures on the Scottish Parliament's website.
Now the two campaigners will make their case to MSPs on Holyrood's Public Petitions Committee. The pair said more than £100million will be spent tackling domestic abuse between 1999 and 2011.
But they added: "Not a penny from those millions has gone to fund services or campaigns specifically designed for the needs of abused men and their children. There is no awareness-raising about their experience of domestic abuse and no active encouragement to report it.
"There are at present no services in Scotland, specifically designed for the needs of abused men and their children, nor any general frontline services that adequately address their problems."
The campaigners said services for abused women should not be cut in order to pay for services for men. Instead, "similar services should also be provided as a matter of course for the men who are being damaged by domestic abuse/violence".
Earlier this month Communities Minister Alex Neil said domestic abuse is "never acceptable" regardless of whether it was perpetrated by men or women.
He said: "The Scottish Government is continually considering what further work needs to be undertaken to address male victims of domestic abuse, including the approaches taken by other parts of the UK."
