Glasgow on Ice will officially launch on Monday.
The popular ice rink will form a central part of the city’s Winterfest celebrations for this year.
On Monday evening, local ice skating champions will perform before revellers have the opportunity to enjoy an ice skating display from Gingercat productions.
The Glasgow Gospel Choir will then take to the stage.
Glasgow on Ice, one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in Europe, is being built around the Scott Monument.
The rink itself is almost 750 square meters and the ice is approximately 10 to 15 centimetres thick.
Up to 80,000 litres of water are needed to form the ice, which takes at least 48 hours to freeze completely.
Last year, over 55,000 people enjoyed the Glasgow on Ice experience with an even greater number expected to participate this festive season.
