A man is being treated for serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Edinburgh.
The accident occurred in the city's St Leonard's Street on Sunday, close to the junction with Lutton Place.
Police believe a 46-year-old man stepped out into the path of a blue Volkswagon Polo.
He sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
