A man has appeared in court after being accused of failing to tell the authorities about the death of his father.
Andrew Lynn appeared from custody on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, accused of concealing 70-year-old William Lynn's body and lying to police.
The 40-year-old made no plea or declaration to the intent and attempt to pervert the course of justice charge.
The offence was said to have happened at Parkgrove Terrace in Edinburgh between August and November.
Police launched an investigation after Mr Lynn's body was discovered at the property on Tuesday.
Lynn's case was continued and Sheriff James Scott remanded him in custody.
