Thieves steal from church playgroup

Sick thieves stole electrical goods from a shed belonging to a children's playgroup at a village church.

The thieves broke into a wooden shed at Edzell Lethnot Parish Church, Lethnot Road, Edzell, some time between 1pm on Friday November 13 and 8am on Monday November 16.

They stole electrical equipment worth almost £200 that belonged to a local children's playgroup.

They took a Casio keyboard and two portable CD players – one is a black and silver coloured Sony player, the other is red.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said: "Anyone who was in the area at the weekend and who saw or heard anything suspicious should call Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.

"Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
