A man is to appear in court after a football fan dressed as a sheep was injured as he travelled back from a match.
The 24-year-old supporter suffered serious burns in the incident on the Edinburgh to Aberdeen train on Saturday evening.
The 1808 service had to stop in Kirkcaldy to allow paramedics to see the man. Police officers also spoke to other passengers on teh train.
The fan is now being treated at the town's Victoria Hospital where doctors described his condition as serious but stable.
One fan writing on a supporters' website said: "It was a blur - but seeing a man on fire was not nice at all.
"There was a call put out for first aiders and the guy was taken away in an ambulance at Kirkcaldy."
A British Transport Police spokesperson confirmed a 23-year-old man will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the incident, British Transport Police said.
The train was carrying Aberdeen football supporters home after a 2-0 defeat against Hibs in Edinburgh.
