A Labour MSP who quit his frontbench role after accepting an illegal campaign donation to has returned to the party's shadow ministerial team.
Charlie Gordon will resume the role of transport spokesman - the job which he resigned from. He left the post after taking a £950 cheque from a Jersey-based businessman for Wendy Alexander’s leadership campaign.
The former Glasgow city council leader said at the time that he acted in "good faith" when he solicited the cheque from businessman Paul Green.
An Electoral Commission probe later found it was "not in the public interest" to refer the case to the Crown Office.
But the wider row over the funding of Ms Alexander’s leadership campaign eventually led to her downfall, as she also faced a Holyrood inquiry for failing to register donations.
Mr Gordon takes over transport and infrastructure from Des McNulty, who has moved to education.
Other changes see Rutherglen MSP James Kelly become community safety spokesman, while Falkirk East MSP Cathy Peattie takes on the climate change portfolio.
Cumbernauld and Kilsyth MSP Cathie Craigie joins the Whips.
It completes a front bench reshuffle announced by Mr Gray on Tuesday which saw Rhona Brankin quit as party education spokeswoman due to family reasons.
