An Elvis fan who died on a trip to Memphis has left almost £500,000 to her family and has instructed her memorabilia to be sold off.

Grazyna Lawrie, 41, known as Gerrie, an engineer from Aberdeen, died last August after attending a festival in Tennessee, dedicated to Elvis Presley. It was her sixth year at the convention.

Papers from Glasgow Sheriff Court show £495,813 of assets were left behind to her parents and sons.

Her parents have been left £5000 and the remainder, including her three Aberdeen flats, have been left to her children.

She has also left them a BMW Z4 car and a Chevrolet Lacetti.

In the legal documents she has requested her antiques and memorabilia - including Elvis and Princess Diana memorabilia - are sold at auction.

However four "life size famous mannequins" have to be displayed in a museum.

Ms Lawrie was reported missing after she failed to catch her flight back to Scotland from her trip.

She was found dead in an apartment she had been renting for the week-long stay.

A Facebook page set up in memory of the mother-of-two describes her as "a fabulous Elvis fan and a breath of fresh air".
